That short alliance with Etho at the end really makes me want a full Life series alliance with Etho & Grian!!

Etho giving Grian the chance to invoke the sword, and Grian's soft little, "This is why random acts of kindness are the way forward," was an extremely wholesome moment! 🥰

That bread toss was genuinely the most tragic thing I've ever seen

The fact etho asked if grian wanted to enact the sword,, beautiful.
It literally gifted grian a life and a fantastic moment. It was grian's best season.
Betraying cousin brother, becoming last bad boy, giving joel an hour,the sword in the first episode, surviving alone at stick situation , getting the best kill , being the biggest killer, dieing to same bread bridge which gave him life, wonderful

I would like to once again pitch: Hard Life.
Everyone starts off with 3 lives, Green, Yellow, Red as usual. The catch is at the beginning of each session, all players are assigned a task they must complete that session (farm 64 wheat, build an iron golem, kill 10 creepers, etc.) If a player fails to complete their task by the end of the session, they drop one life. Additionally, one player per session is guaranteed the task "kill another player", similar to the boogie man. Anyone on last life always has the "kill another player" task (meaning red names must get one kill per session, but can then be considered passive).
To entice alliances and trades, players can take on other players tasks if they so choose (which could lead to either players trading tasks for resources, players helping each other out to firm alliances, or even players tricking other players to take on difficult tasks).
Regardless, take whatever break you and the team needs, and we all look forward to more shenanigans in the future!

This might get lost in the comment section, but I had an idea for another life series. It uses the time mechanic of limited life and the pairing mechanic of double life. Basically, you’re randomly paired with someone like in double life, but instead of both people dying when one dies, the one who dies loses an hour and the other one gains half an hour. So instead of forcing you to ally with someone, you’re sort of forced to be enemies with someone, and we all love a bit of chaos on the life series. It could be called Linked Life or something
Ok apparently Grian said that they don’t use ideas from the comments and that by commenting it actually makes it less likely that your idea will happen so I hope they didn’t see this!

Took me a few seconds to realize what Etho meant by the sword. But then I remember their interaction in the nether. That made my heart melt. This series was so good Grian!!! I hope theres another season

It’s almost impressive how you can be surrounded by water and still manage to fall on the few blocks to your final death.

if grian learns hotkeying and the use of the lava bucket in pvp he could literally be unstoppable

I've got to say the way Grian immediately started falling towards the only piece of land which was surround by water was pretty spectacular

This episode had me clapping, gasping of horror, laughing, and clenching almost the entire time

Damn that sudden alliance with Etho remembering the time Grian gave him a sword on day one was amazing

Out of all the life series, this one is up there as one of the best

Grian PRETTY PLEASE DO ANOTHER LIFE SERIES! Take as long as you need to rest up, recharge, etc, but these Life series are so FUN! Thank you for all of the hard work you and the others have done. The time commitment alone is unfathomable to me. We love you!

Thanks for making the Life series Grian, it's one of my favourite things on this platform. Whenever one season ends, I always look forward to finding out what the gimick and teams of the next season will be. It's always a lot of fun :)

The best life series of them all in my opinion.
The groups had such good chemistry, and no one got chased out when they were low on time. People looking out for each other and giving up their own time for their friends. I like it 🙂👍
I hope there's less fighting in the sky for end game next time though.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I've enjoyed the life series. I started watching it about a week ago and have been sucked in. Watching yall have so much fun together is on par with big production TV. Thank you so much for this series, Grian.

Hey man, I really appreciate all the hours of fun you gave us with all the Life Series. Limited Life was my favorite so far! Most quotable season ever!

The sword Grian gave Etho is unintentionally one of the best uses of Checkov's gun I've ever seen.

Idea for the next life season: I think it would be amazing if we got double life but also linked together the inventory. it would be a great way to make a new series from a previous one. I also thought of the name "Linked Life".

Idea for the next Life series: Border Life.
Whenever a player is eliminated, the world border gets smaller, finishing with the final two players in a very small area to fight it out. It gives you the choice: build close to spawn and be more exposed, or further out but at risk of the border closing in on your base. Keep the lives at 3, and use Boogeyman as an incentive to kill people and shrink the border.

Please continue the "Life" series! I look forward to every iteration and it's really what has introduced me to so many other creators!

The next life series should be, everyone starts with a number of lives and everyday you switch the amount of lives you have with someone else. So one day you could have 6 the next you could have 4.

Grian getting some of the best kills only to die in the most anti climatic way seems fitting for him

Next life series should honestly be starting out with 10-15 hearts but every time you die you lose a heart to your max health

For the next season, could you do it like last life where they lives are randomized, but you don’t know how many you or anyone else has? You’d be told when u turn red but no one else would know adding suspense like the boogie. Plus everyone would be terrified to die since they could turn red at any moment. You could call it “secret life”

In the next life series you should keep your inventory on death as well. I think it makes people want to be more aggressive knowing that they aren't gonna lose most of their stuff if they die

The life series is honestly the only series that can replicate the feeling of watching minecraft videos as a kid in 2011

This was the best series so far, loved the keep your gear option, and Skizz skynet started it all

I sorely missed the days of reds and yellows being allowed to remain on the same team. I’m glad that concept was brought back this season. This season also perfected the boogeyman mechanic in my opinion. It gave the boogeyman true incentive while not being TOO terrible a fate to lose 2 of your 24 hours if you were the victim. All in all, it might even be my favorite season so far. It took all the things I loved about third life (strong factions, complex dynamics, a few solid storylines, loyalty despite color, immy out first) and the things I loved about last life (tension of being attacked by anyone without warning, being able to give teammates your own lives, immy out first) and put them together with the time mechanic to make something very incredible. But truly my favorite part of this season is that it is so Tangible how much you all enjoy playing together. The ease of conversation between players who had never interacted before third life is so wholesome and I’ll continue to argue that it is the chemistry you all have together that makes the life series as beloved as it is by us viewers. You’ve really made something special here, G. Thank you for continuing to work on it and share it with us 💛

Grian, I'd like to seroiusly thank you for creating this amazing series! It has brought me so much joy and is in my opinion the best MCYT project I've seen in a while.
Now, I'm usually a quiet viewer, but as another season has ended, this feels like a good moment to share some of my thoughts on the past and hopes for the future of the Life Series.
I have noticed that the character of the life series has changed over time: 3rd and Last life had quite a bit of roleplay to them, with narrative throughlines, effectively rising tension and great climactic moments. Themes, ambitions, emotions grew from events and in turn motivated more to happen. Double and Limited Life, on the other hand, felt more episodic, driven by whatever shenanigans people spontaneously came up with, a bunch of friends having fun together. There were still little bits of roleplay here and there, but not as tightly connected to what was happening, and with a much lighter tone to them.
Please do not take this as me saying the Life Series is not as good as it was. It just has a different feel to it, and both variations have their own merits - the deep emotional impact of the first two installments versus the sheer hilarity of the latest two. I loved them all and am already super hyped for the fifth season!
But I do want to encourage you to bring out the roleplay more! Give your actions weight and meaning, create a narrative from them, follow through emerging allicances and conflicts to a satifying end. In my opinion - I'm always a sucker for a good story - it does elevate this series to a whole other plane. It especially adds a lot of rewatch value to it, and 3rd and Last Life definitely made me want to return to them, like to a good movie.
In short, you all have the potential to craft wonderful stories from the chaos, and I'd love to see more of it going forward!

the fact that Grian was a beast all season and had the most time at the star and ended up dying to fall dmg is hilarious

I think a really cool twist for One of the "Life series" would be you lose access to the use of specific types of materials as you go down in color, Something like green you can use anything, orange you can use up to iron level gear, and red can use leather and wood gold... The Gold is because it's a good material that breaks extremely quickly (maybe to make it more even enchantments are only available once you hit red but only specific enchantments, so like no flame or sharpness)

"Don't tell Tim" coming before the long drawn out "noooooooo" is classic. But I suspect Tim might already know, and possibly have fulfilled the reason Grian said it by ribbing him mercilessly.

I love that they will kill others easily and quickly. But the second they are low on time and their teammates tell them to kill them for time, they panic and forget how to kill for a solid minute and just kinda flail at them. It’s like the thought of killing their teammate just cant register in their mind

I’ve rewatched all of hermitcraft season 9 (so far), both seasons of empires smp, and all the life series. And I gotta say, it’s been great catching up on all this stuff and rekindling my interest in Minecraft stuff.

I'm loving this series so much! Can't wait for the next one. Maybe First Life, where everyone's color is decided at the beginning at random (3 lives but your color is picked). The reds kill yellows and yellows kill greens. Self-defense is of course allowed, but maybe when you die you change to the next one. Red to yellow, yellow to green, green to red. Greens can't do any killing only self defense (traps can count as self defense on their bases). I love how the cast is pretty much the same so we get to see how y'all play together. Maybe in the future you could even add some more folks, like me for instance.

This episode plays out like a Greek tragedy... we see two heroes reunite after a lifetime apart, expecting an epic final battle but Grian dies the same death as Jimmy before any closure can be achieved. Truly heartbreaking, 11/10 would watch again

Each twist has just been better and better. Can't wait to see what the next one is going to be

The life whatever smp’s are very inspiring because it shows that all Minecraft worlds will come to an end but that doesn’t mean that it’s bad it’s something to look back at with pride and joy of the accomplishments and Freunds we made

This season was so good, it perfectly hit the self-sacrificeabity and the players did it, gave up their time and let half of it go to waste to save their friends just a little longer, and the people are going feral for it

Ok, I don't know if a lot of people saw it, but when Grain was shooting impule off the ladder and hitting him a ridiculous amount of times, Scar said "CuTGuY" in chat. I don't know why, but that simple comment warmed my heart so much. I love the relationship between everyone on these series

For the next life series, the border should slowly shrink as one of the core mechanics

Where every session, random people are teleported to Ethos battlebane arena, giving prizes to the winners, and the rest of us finally get to see something close to Ethos original battlebane plan.

Idea for another season: Shared life, where everyone takes damage at once, but heals individually. The boogeyman could be reintroduced, and they would have to work out some way to kill their target, but not kill themselves. Wars would be different, and healing potions would be vital.

I already can't wait for the next life series. Soooooo.... keep em coming!!!

Pitch for next series: Cursed Life
Boogey is tied to a specific random mob that changes each session i.e. a Skeleton Boogey needs a bow kill or a MagmaCube Boogey needs a lava kill.

This was great, as always! I really hope there's another series at some point.

I liked this series' time based life set up the most out of all of the lives systems, though the life exchanging in season 2 was close. Perhaps for the next season you could have some mechanic to gain more lives- like crafting something specific using a rare block like what you get after killing the warden or ender dragon- paired with some grand scale mechanic that takes lives away, or makes you want too...
How about Time Is Money- have Emerald Blocks be exchangable for more lives but also have villagers sell impressive things and add the capability to exchange a life for emerald blocks or for some specific amazing item directly. Make it a capitalist war as everyone tries to set up buisnesses to get things to exchange for emeralds, sabotage each other's endeavors, and balance risk taking behavior against potential gain in lives- OH have taxes be a thing, make a certain cost in emeralds be deducted every so often, with a life being converted into emeralds to pay the difference if you are short. THAT will make for conflict and put pressure on everyone.

Idea: Cursed life. There are at least three boogeys each session and each one has to kill someone else in a specific way, like the tag you made on the empires server. Since there are three boogeys, players might have a lot more lives, and maybe the second to last life can also be red and hostile.

Great series ❤ I can't wait for the next iteration.

It’s so ironic how the reason why Grian lasted so long was because of the bread bridge/skynet and yet, he died because he fell off of it 😂

Idea: Cursed Life
The gimmick of the season is where, at the start of each session, everyone is randomly assigned a curse. These curses could include less damage, less speed, slow regen, less hp, or anything else. These curses would also be removed at the end of the session.
This season could also have the boogeyman,where instead of a curse the boogeyman gets a blessing where it's a buff

can i just say if you look at 3rd life and compare it to limited life there is so much more chaos and i absolutely love it and its escalated alot more and faster yet somehow with 14 players still had more episodes
