It’s always such a funny contrast in these series to see Grian getting these amazing kills, and then dying from something as nonsensical as falling off a ladder because your own teammate shot you

Just realized that jimmy didn’t get an extra 30 minutes for shooting Grian off the ladder at the start.

I love the pure chaos of this series. A bunch of friends running around and throwing TNT minecarts on each other. Always just really fun to watch.

This is by far the best episode out of every life series so far, so much emotion and Joel's death in front of the clock tower was so much sadder than it needed to be

The lightnings when someone dies are so ominous. The utter silence that follows is the cherry atop the already perfect cake.

There was no music or any sad quotes, but even despite some of the laughter, the deaths of the bad boys was one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. While Grian may be a nosy neighbor now, we all know he is a bad boy at heart.

The very quiet “we shall see” after grian pushes a minecart is hilarious

I cant even PROCESSS the emotions I felt in the span of this episode-
From the fall of the intro to the fall of the bad boys, it was all SO much for 44 minutes😭
But like Jimmy and Joel's deaths were so emotional for no reason- peak angst. Can't wait for the animatics this episode will bring

I think the time format vs the lives format works a lot better, as you can allow a lot more chaos to unfold. I don't think anyone's complained about the minecart tnt getting repetitive, but if you are afraid it might become so you could throw something into the next series to mess with it a bit. Like a Murder Bingo, so people are incentivized to get there kills in different ways, and getting a reward whenever they fill out a line. Or maybe a version of the Grumbot content generator where the boogeyman gets assigned a random specific kill method for further risk/reward?

Great episode! I just want to say thank you so much for putting the time in to write out captions by hand. I have hearing loss and having the captions to aid me really help. Not many youtubers do that but you do. Thank you. and you cannot stand on the surface of gas giants, you will fall through (the cores are solid though)

God this episode is AMAZING. Never laughed so much over a Life episode. The chaos and the succes was incredible!!

In fact all of this is giving me third life flashbacks how long ago was that now?
The fact that Grian said "No Scar" out of habit just shows how much time the Life smp has forced them to spend together.

Grian, that trap you set up by the door to the tower will detonate on the spot. The two minecarts will collide with each other, instead of going down the track.
It'll kill Pearl the moment she presses the button!

The build up of Grian learning thought out the episode more and more that Joel’s was gonn die was such a cinematic masterpiece

This might genuinely be the most kills a single person in the entirety of the Life series has ever gotten in one episode.

The minecart kills are so funny i dont even care if they are overdone. Every single one is so tense and exciting

42:13 It's the moment of pure silence that makes it. The lightning strike, and then looking at empty space were Joel used to be. We all knew it was gonna happen but it's that moment were we truly realize that he's just not there anymore

No but like, the fact that Grian keeps saying "you can kill me" to Joel is actually so sad to the point i cried when Joel's died. And that pause when Grian looks up to clarify is Joel actually dead also make me cried. I'm on breaking down now.

Next series be a skyblock with each player on their own islands. Longer series with a epic climactic ending

on gas giants, they're not fully gaseous and slowly turn to liquid - their cores may be solid from compression, but for the most part they're just increasingly dense gas and then liquid - so you fall through at an increasing rate until you hit terminal velocity per the giant's gravity -w-

I think it would be nice to see some more building tips and/or tricks for detailing and creating cool atmospheres. I look for ideas on things to build so I can make my own but there aren't many good builders out there who make videos on how to build things and make builds your own.

I just got an idea: for the next season it could be a lifesteal kinda thing where everyone starts with a random amount of hearts and if you die you lose a heart. If it’s a kill you get like half a heart and a full heart if boogey 😊

You can turn off the fog in the settings. So you can view the surface, very op if you do to see the place that you want to boom.

can we acknowledge that jim got two kills (1 hr time) just before he died, but because of the system it didn’t directly go to him. So he should have still be in the game with around 50 minutes

In case you're still wondering, yes, you do just fall through gas giants when standing on them. They have a small solid core, but there's so much gas that before you reach the core the pressure of the gases would crush your body as if you were at the bottom of the ocean.

Just for the record, the Bad boys base should have been called multi-grain plateau. Also, when you were trying to pull yourselves together at the beginning, I could just hear in my head, Don't start a resistance, don't start a resistance.

Hey Grian, please do a Hunger Games inspired Life series, where all the good gear is surrounding a point of interest e.g. the cornucopia. So that there is a excessive amount of combat in the first episode

I have an idea for the next life series, it's called Imposter Life. I don't know if it's possible but this is how it works.
Everyone starts with 3 lifes like 3rd life but you all have your skin and name switched to a random person on the server each session and you have to have a voice changer to disguise your voice. You can be honest with people with who you are or you can trick them so they need to find out who you are by how you act. Also the Boogeyman should still be a thing.

next series should be called hardcore life, which is any damage that you take will be permanent and cant regenerate unless if you have goldens apples, or healing potions. i suggest this because alot of the players fromt he life series have became very experience in this life game.

All the sky bridges are the best part of this series, they are absolutely fantastic

Bdubs and Scar are the brothers, Jim , Grian, and Joel are the far cousins, Etho is the dad, Cleo is the mom, Tango, Skizz, and Impulse are the uncles, Smajor and LittleWoods are the best friends, and BigB and Pearl are the neighbors across the street.

9:15 i think it depends on the density of the gas. If the gas is lighter than water you'd fall in, but if its denser you'd float. I'd imagine it would also have layers of different gasses with decreasing density as you go toward the surface.

This series is definitely the best one so far I was laughing out loud practically the whole time, I love this series so much!!

Wait, if the rule is you get a kill if you engaged in combat last, even if the death message says you don't get the kill, then both Etho and Scar should have 30 minutes back for killing each other. If I remember correctly, Etho attacked Scar, but a wolf got the death message, and Scar attacked Etho but fell.

You can actually hold space bar on a ladder and you’ll still go up but won’t move left or right. 😊
